Intune Service Release Numbers, Monthly Updates, & New Features
This article includes a list of all the Intune Service Release numbers and new features. The Intune service updates are released every month, and you can find the service release details via Intune Tenant Administration.
The YYMM format is used for Intune releases. For example, if you read “Intune has a new feature in Service Release 2212,” it means the new feature was added in the December 2022 release. New Intune updates are added to the service each month, and these are gradually rolled out to all customers.
When Microsoft Intune was first released, the new features were released in service packs every year or two. The major product releases are seen every four years or so. Intune is now on a monthly release cadence, which means that Intune updates are released every month.

If you go through the Intune release history, you’ll notice that Intune updates are released more than once in a single month. These are the occasional features that are rolled out after the majority of the release is complete and are known as “out of band releases.”
Like we have build numbers and version numbers for Configuration Manager current branch, Intune updates are identified by a service release number, and there is nothing called an Intune version number.
Check Microsoft Intune Service Release Version
To check your Intune Service Release version, open the Microsoft Endpoint Manager admin center console and click on Tenant Administration. From the Tenant Administration page, click on Tenant Status. The tenant details page will show you the Intune Service Release version number, which in my case is 2206.
The tenant status page in Microsoft Intune shows important details about your tenant and the details include:
- Your Tenant name and location
- MDM Authority
- Account Status
- Intune Service Release number
- Total Enrolled Devices
- Total Licensed users and Intune Licenses

Intune Monthly Updates Rollout Details
Each Intune monthly update may take up to three days to roll out and will be in the following order:
- Day 1: Asia Pacific (APAC)
- Day 2: Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA)
