Starting with Intune Service release 2207, you can select and install multiple apps in Company Portal. The Intune Company Portal for Windows now allows users to select multiple apps and install them in bulk.
Prior to service release 2207, an Intune user could install only one application at a time from the company portal app. With this new feature in the Intune 2207 release, users can now use the Company Portal for Windows bulk app install.
Microsoft has been enhancing the Company Portal app’s capabilities for the users’ benefit. Recently, we saw a feature where a user could share an application from Intune Company portal. To know more about what’s new in all Intune releases, refer to the Intune Service release updates post.
In the Company portal app, you must switch to multi-select mode so that you can select multiple apps at once and initiate the bulk installation. The Windows bulk app install feature is not available or supported in tile view and list view for apps.
The benefit of installing multiple apps simultaneously from the Intune company portal allows users to install apps faster. All selected apps will install at the same time without requiring users to right-click each app or navigate to each app’s page.
The ability to install bulk applications also exists in Configuration Manager. You can install multiple applications from Software Center in SCCM.
Before you use the Company Portal for Windows bulk app installs, ensure you update the company portal app to the latest version. If the feature to install multiple apps is missing in the company portal, ensure the Intune tenant is at release version 2207 and later. How to Install Multiple Apps in Company Portal
Here is how an user can select and install multiple apps in Company Portal. Launch the Company Portal app and select Apps tab. From the Apps tab of the Company Portal for Windows, select the multi-select view button in the top-right corner of the page.
Then, select the checkbox next to each app that you need to install. Next, select the Install Selected button to start installation. All selected apps will install at the same time without requiring users to right-click each app or navigate to each app’s page.
