In this tutorial, we will show you how to disable Snagit automatic updates. By disabling the auto-update and upgrade notifications, you can continue using your current version of Snagit without being prompted to upgrade or buy a new version.

Snagit is excellent screen capture software with built-in advanced image editing and screen recording. It has excellent tools for editing the captured images in addition to being user-friendly. The same company that makes Camtasia products also owns Snagit.

The Snagit shows you upgrade prompts every time you boot your machine. Users see a Snagit updater window saying, “A new version of Snagit is available.” To close this update window, a close button is available. If you are not licensed for the latest version of Snagit, there is no point in upgrading the tool to the latest version.
