You can easily deploy support center using SCCM and I will be covering the deployment steps in this post. Support Center is a single tool and it combines many administrator troubleshooting tools.
Microsoft introduced Support Center tool for SCCM client troubleshooting, real-time log viewing, or capturing the state of a Configuration Manager client computer. The support center includes many tools which are essential to troubleshoot SCCM client issues.
Until now the most common tool that SCCM admins use on daily basis is CMTrace tool. It’s a log file viewer and you know troubleshooting SCCM involves reviewing the log files.
The goal of support center is to reduce the challenges and frustration when troubleshooting Configuration Manager client computers. When a remote user reports a SCCM client issue, you would need to manually collect SCCM log files and other information to help troubleshoot the issue. The support engineer could accidentally forget a crucial log file and this would add more delay.
Starting with SCCM 2103, Support Center is split into the following tools :-
- Support Center Client Data Collector – This collects data from a device to view in the Support Center Viewer.
- Support Center Client Tools – The other Support Center troubleshooting functionality, except for Collect selected data.
When you install SCCM Support Center, the following tools are also installed.
- Support Center Viewer
- Support Center OneTrace
- Support Center Log File Viewer

When you install ConfigMgr, the support center tool is also included. The SCCM support center tool is located in the following path – C:\Program Files\Microsoft Configuration Manager\tools\SupportCenter. If you have installed ConfigMgr on another drive, ensure you use the correct drive letter.
All we need is the supportcenterinstaller.msi file to deploy. Copy the supportcenterinstaller.msi file to Sources folder (shared folder) and we will package it in ConfigMgr.
