Patch My PC publisher offers two logging options: Debug and Information. Setting the logging option to Information logs only minimal information, whereas debug mode allows you to troubleshoot complex issues with the PMPC publishing service.

When you install Patch My PC, the default logging option is set to Information. However, you can manually change it to debug by following the steps covered in this guide.

Enable Debug Logging in Patch My PC Publisher

Let’s see how you can enable debug logging in Patch My PC Publisher. First, launch the Patch My PC Publishing service. On the General tab, look for the Logging Options. Click on the drop-down and select Debug. Click Apply, and then click Save and Close.

After making the above changes, you must restart the Patch My PC Publishing service. To do that, open Services.msc and locate the PatchMyPCService. Right-click the PatchMyPCService and select Restart.

Debug Logging is now enabled, and you can review the PatchMyPC.log for troubleshooting issues.
