In this post, I will show you how to enable or disable HDR screenshot color corrector in Snipping tool. The Snipping Tool in Windows 11 includes an “HDR Screenshot Color Corrector” feature that automatically adjusts the colors of screenshots captured on an HDR monitor. This feature helps ensure that the colors in screenshots appear accurately when viewed on non-HDR displays (SDR).
When you take a screenshot on an HDR-enabled display, the colors may appear washed out or inaccurate due to differences in color handling between SDR (Standard Dynamic Range) and HDR.
The HDR Screenshot Color Corrector when enabled in the Snipping Tool automatically adjusts the colors of HDR screenshots to ensure they look accurate and vibrant, matching what you see on your screen.

Before using this feature, keep in mind that HDR screenshots captured with the Snipping Tool require an HDR-compatible display to be viewed at their best quality. This functionality is especially beneficial for creators and gamers frequently working with HDR content. If you are using an SDR display, it is recommended not to enable this feature.
