Windows 365 Cloud PC Updates and New Features
This article lists all the Windows 365 Cloud PC updates, new features, included with every service release of Windows 365 Enterprise. The Cloud PC updates are released every month, and it’s important to be aware of these features for every enterprise.
The YYMM format is used for Windows 365 releases and represents the service release number. For example, if you read “Windows 365 has a new feature in Service Release 2308,” it means the new feature was added in the August 2023 release. New Windows 365 Cloud PC updates are added to the service each month, and these are gradually rolled out to all customers.
Windows 365 is a cloud-based service that automatically creates a new type of Windows virtual machine (Cloud PCs) for your end users. Each cloud PC is assigned to an individual user and is their dedicated Windows device. Windows 365 provides the productivity, security, and collaboration benefits of Microsoft 365.
This article is useful if you want to get the latest updates on Windows 365 Cloud PCs and the new features added to each service release. We will update this article as and when new features are made available for Windows 365 Enterprise to ensure you have the most up-to-date information.
Windows 365 Cloud PC 2408 Updates (August 2024)

- Azure Monitor support on Windows 365 Cloud PCs
- Windows 365 support for encrypting Cloud PCs by setting up Microsoft Purview Customer Key is generally available.
- Session lock experience configuration for single sign-on.
- Azure Monitor Agent can now be installed on Windows 365 Enterprise and Windows 365 Government Cloud PCs
Windows 365 Cloud PC 2407 Updates (July 2024)

- Uni-directional clipboard support for Cloud PCs is generally available.
- The inbound port 3389 is now by default closed for new and reprovisioned Cloud PCs.
- Windows 365 Government now supports Microsoft Purview Customer Lockbox.
- Windows 365 now supports AVC mixed mode when MMR is not enabled.
- Support for Windows 365 cross-region disaster recovery.
- The Cloud PC gallery images now use the Teams VDI.
- Windows 365 service now defaults the chroma subsampling at 4:2:0
- Windows 365 Cloud PCs now support FIDO devices and passkeys for Microsoft Entra ID sign in on macOS and iOS.
Windows 365 Cloud PC 2406 Updates (June 2024)

- Windows 365 Boot and Switch now support battery status redirection for cloud PCs.
- Ability to upgrade existing Windows 365 licenses in Microsoft Admin Center.
- Use Set Conditiional access policies to configure single sign-on for Windows 365
- Cloud PC utilization report availale for Windows 365 Government.
- A cloud PC size recommendation report is generally available.
- Cloud PCs now support Microsoft Purview forensic evidence.
- Troubleshoot remote actions can now be used for multiple PCs at once.
- Windows 365 Frontline offers are available for GCC and Azure commercial cloud customers.
Windows 365 Cloud PC Updates: May 2024 Service Release 2405

- New Windows 10 and Windows 11 images are available for cloud PCs.
- Manage Cloud PC redirections on Android devices and iOS/iPadOS from the Intune admin center.
- FQDNs removed from requirement list
- Cloud PCs that aren’t available are now generally available.
- Windows 365 now supports Intune scope tags.
Windows 365 Cloud PC Updates: April 2024 Service Release 2404
